Barcelona 2024 Booking Instructions

Ballymakenny College intends on offering a European trip next Easter 2024 for our 2nd year, Teach Danann students.

It is a trip that we believe will be of great value to our students. As well as deepening friendships, it also creates a sense of community amongst the children. We have run successful trips since 2015 and the feedback from students and parents has always been positive.

We will be travelling with School Tour Company. We have used this company in the past and feel that they tailor our requirements to provide a good value tour for our students.

Parents/Guardians should familiarise themselves with the School Trip Policy of Ballymakenny College available on our website.

For our European trip, we intend to travel to Barcelona, which is both culturally and educationally enriching.

Approximate dates of travel 26th March - 29th March 2024.

The estimated cost of this trip is €735, and includes the following: (the cost may change slightly due to numbers availing of the trip.)

Your Price Includes:

• • Dublin/Belfast - Barcelona return on scheduled airline services.
  • One small item of hand luggage per person (40x20x25cm).
  • One item of luggage per person (10kg).
  • 3 nights B&B hotel accommodation in Salou.
  • 3 evening meals served at the hotel.
  • Coach transfers on arrival and departure and continued coaching on these days (9hrs).
  • Use of coach for a visit to Barcelona or Barcelona and Montserrat.
  • Guided sightseeing tour of Barcelona.
  • Coach transfers to and from PortAventura.
  • Entrance to PortAventura theme park..
  • Game of bowling.
  • Fully comprehensive insurance cover.
  • Emergency number while abroad.

Not Included:

• Lunch
• Bus transfer from Ballymakenny College to/from Dublin Airport

The Principal reserves the right to refuse any student he/she deem unsuitable for the trip, specifically taking note of behaviour, attendance and punctuality.

Those considered unsuitable would include:
• Students who in the informed opinion of the Principal, have proved unruly or undisciplined on previous trips and
• Students who in the informed opinion of the Principal have a poor discipline, punctuality and attendance record.

How to book the Barcelona 2024 Trip

1. Go to https://payments.schooltour.ie/
2. Create an account using your email address. Create your password.
3. Use the following BOOKING ID 2001961
4. Select Barcelona as the destination from the dropdown box.
5. Make the payments.

Payment Schedule

• €200 by 21st September 2023
• €100 by 7^th October 2023
• €435 by 7^th January 2023

Places are limited and dependent on availability of flights/hotel accommodation.

The closing date for deposits is 21^st September. Just making a payment does not guarantee a place. Places are limited. Please allow for the different transaction times for the monies to reach The School Tour Company. Sometimes these transactions can take up to 4/5 days to reach their account. Neither the travel company or Ballymakenny College is responsible for this. This tour has limited numbers and if oversubscribed we will create a waitlist for students based on when the monies entered the School Tour Company account.
